I bought to use for ling term use of an injured, confined horse. He wrestled with others but the knotless hay bag is soft for his mouth and teeth and easy for me to manage. They fill a lot more than I thought. Would like to see how peoplesecure the large one in a yard if not tying up. Thankyou
I’m SUPER impressed with the gutzbuster net! It’s strong (my horse was literally picking it up and throwing it) and there has barely been any waste. The horses have filled out so nicely now that they have access to hay 24/7. Definitely buying some more nets!
I recently bought a Large (3cm) Knotless Hay net along with 3 medium (3cm) sized hay nets to save hay and to be able to fill my hay nets less often. This was my first purchase with Gutzabusta as I was dubious at spending more than the cheap $10 knotted hay nets I was used to and wasn't sure if the Rhodes grass would be easily obtained from the 3cm hole size. Well!! I was nicely surprised that the Rhodes grass hay that I feed was easily obtained - although at a good rate and the horses love using it. I started feeding a biscuit of loose hay on the ground first so that they were not starving, then I put out the Gutzabusta slow feeders. I was actually surprised to see that the horses went to the Gutzabusta hay nets first rather than eat the loose hay on the ground. So, now they only get their Gutzabusta slow feed hay nets. The large hay net is my favourite size as it fits a whole bale of hay so easily!! And is so handy for when I need to go away overnight as 2 of my fatties can keep munching for 2 days quite easily. The medium sized nets are also easy to use and easily fit half a bale of hay. Needless to say the cheap $10 nets no longer get used as there is so much wastage just trying to put a biscuit or two into the net - even before it goes out to the horses! I loved these nets so much, that within a couple of weeks of them arriving, I ordered another large and 3 medium nets with the view of getting more in the future!!
I bought the 6cm large gutzbusta to fit a biscuit from a large square bale of Rhodes hay as suggested by gutzbusta. It fits perfectly! I put a biscuit in each stable in a container. No daily filling of haynets here! Minimal wastage, individual access to hay 24/7.
